I am a hard-working, dedicated person with goals to uplift my communities by working with nonprofit organizations to address issues and create mission-driven solutions. I first began my work within the nonprofit sector while as an undergraduate at Minnesota State University – Moorhead, where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
Since graduating with my Bachelor’s, I have been able to extend my experience and skills within the nonprofit realm. This expansion of skills prompted me to begin looking at graduate programs that could help me learn integral parts of nonprofit management that I could use to supplement my hands on learning experiences.
After careful considerations and research, the Rutgers – Newark, SPAA, Master of Public Administration program peaked my interest as it aligned closely with my goals, but also allowed me to maintain my full-time employment. By fall 2022, I had enrolled and was taking courses to obtain my Master’s degree in Public Administration with a Concentration in Nonprofit Management. I will be graduating spring of 2025.
